PROJECT DESCRIPTION:This 12,500 square-foot Fire Station for the City of Wylie was designed to complement the surrounding residential neighborhood. The facility consists of five drive-thru apparatus bays, living quarters for eight firefighters, two offices for station officers, a fitness center, and additional support spaces. The construction documents for this facility were produced utilizing a Building Information Modeling (BIM) System which allowed for greater visual study of both the interior and exterior spaces as well as better design coordination between all Building Design disciplines.
