PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The aquatic center project is a result of a Master Plan for the Cimarron Park in Irving, Texas. The design consists of 11,000 square-foot water with amenities and focuses on serving all age groups. The modern leisure pool layout provides a separate toddler pool and a main body of water with a zero entry area, child play/slide structure, geysers, 18-ft platform slide with two flumes, and five 25-yd lap lanes with one end at a 6-ft depth for water aerobics. The 2,800 square-foot of support buildings are contained in three separate structures which house toilets, changing and locker facilities, reception, guard, first aid, concessions, storage, mechanical room and storage. The pool project completes the final phase of the park development which included the Recreation Center adjacent to the pool facility completed by WHJ in 1997.
